Here's a hardy plant that appears to be thriving by this switch in the train tracks. This is the same place that Alan Ginsberg wrote about in the 60's. (The switchman's shack in the photo collage is the one Alan refers to. A couple of points of clarification. The 'railroad yard' is actually located in Santa Clara, but it's close to San Jose. The 'tank factory' was FMC, but is now a FedEx building. The 'Real' is the El Camino Real which is a block away.)
