Highway 236; On the way to Big Basin Redwoods State Park, CA
The fog hadn't burned off yet on the way to Big Basin. It was ghostly in some places with shafts of sunlight streaking through the fog. Here we reach the summit and are above the valley of fog. Across the valley, far away, you can see the top of another mountain. You can tell it's summer in California—the grass is brown. Here's the panoramic view.
