While visiting Mama in Okmulgee, I happened to drive by the Okmulgee Cemetary early in the morning on Memorial Day. Maybe it's my army brat upbringing, but I've always found the U.S. flag fascinating. At the cemetary, flags lined the driveway, the main sidewalk, and larger ones made a half circle around the main flag pole. A tiny flag was placed on each of the veterans' graves. I don't think I've ever seen that many flags in one place.
