For the first time in our 22 years of living here, John and I decided to go on the west side of the Golden Gate bridge and take pictures. Bicyclists were swarming like gnats, but the view was worth it. Of course, my penchant for taking pictures of people taking pictures flared up: here's a group of German-speaking tourists posing in front of a camera that the woman in the tan pants has set to go off in ten seconds. I thought I might really have a shot when she ran back to join the group and almost fell down the hill, but the others caught her in time for the picture.
