Actual Web Stuff
No Chief Web Officer Required. I must be outta the loop. Had to look up what the term “C-Suite” meant. Found this other definition, which I'm not going to link to due to annoying ad and Bing pop-up and file added to my desktop:
“A widely-used slang term used to collectively refer to a corporation's most important senior executives. C-Suite gets its name because top senior executives' titles tend to start with the letter C, for chief, as in chief executive officer, chief operating officer and chief information officer.”
Fake Steve Jobs is just slaying me. Read him every single day. Here's his take on Amazon's Kindle: College kids: Kindle blows.
Okay, another killer post. I laughed, I cried, I wiped the tears out of my eyes: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce can kiss my monkey's big red ass.
Art from junk mail. This makes me want to collage again. Just fantastic. I am in awe of Sandhi. [Thanks, Jason!]
Good perspective on when you combine web and mobile. “iPhone is the fastest consumer electronics ramp-up since the DVD player.” Listen to the audio file: How mobile is changing design. In mobile design, you have to think of users first. Mobile design is about context. Small example: We don't know if the user is indoors or outdoors. Indoor color palette vs. outdoor color palette. How do you design for tomorrow?
Okay, this was posted a couple of years ago, but I just now saw it: Customer breaks up with advertiser.
AT&T reverses policy on iPhone internet calls. Chipping away at lagging monopoly. I've been experiencing a higher frequency in dropped calls with AT&T. Saturday, I couldn't even call out at all. I thought my phone was broken. I looked with dismay at my shiny, broken phone. But I was able to call out on Monday. So, what the hey was going on?
Loving my new iMac. Love Snow Leopard. I got a monthly subscription to lynda.com and have been pouring over the Snow Leopard tutorials. Which OMG makes me love Snow Leopard even more.
