HTML, Mac Security, and Up
EFF has just set up a new website, TOSBack. They make it easy by highlighting what was deleted and what was added. So far, they're tracking forty-four websites, Facebook, Google Blogger, and Data.gov to name a few.
I hate to see XHTML go by the wayside. Is HTML5 really up to speed? Is there enough browser support for it? Here's the HTML5 Gallery that showcases websites taking up the call. Here is the JavaScript for handling IE's contrariness with HTML5. (Thanks, Meera!)
Mac security issue. Per Mr. Daring Fireball, Java should be turned off in browser security preferences. Also turn off ‘Open safe files after downloading’.
If you want a couple of hours of fun, go watch “Up” in 3D and make sure there are more than 50 percent children in the audience. I know, you cringe at the thought of crying babies, but that was not my experience this past Sunday. A wonderful time sharing the movie with the under seven crowd.
