Photos, Plants, and Afghans
Although I've been pretty quiet lately, I have been taking photos. The other weekend, I met Sherah and The Boys at Monterey Bay Aquarium. You just can't take a bad picture there. Here's my obligatory jellyfish photo. You can see the other three photos in the set.
Fall is here and I've been trimming up my outdoor plants and bringing them in for the winter. Only my lovely begonias remain outside as they'll keep blooming until next month. My oldest and most beautiful tuberous begonia, Ruby, has been just gorgeous. Getting larger every year. I love to float her flowers in a crystal bowl filled with water. Very striking.
Ralph continues his great comeback after being reduced to a single leaf two years ago. It was such a close call that I had to make sure I'll always have a version of Ralph, and so I've started rooting Ralphie.
Inspired by my trip to Mendenhall Glacier and the wonderful shades of blue, I started my sixth afghan and added a little sparkle. After making afghans this past year for my mom, BillyBob, RayRay, and a co-worker's new baby, I decided this one is just for me.
