Inflatable Sheep

I can't remember where I discovered it, but I just received my copy of Reyna Grande's “Across A Hundred Mountains.”. I read the first few pages and just sunk immediately into the story. I love authors' writing where it's so seamless that you don't notice the words. Always a good sign.

Yesterday, I Google'd Reyna and discovered that this is her first book. She has a blog where you can read the trials and tribulations of a new author on a book tour. Imagine my surprise when I looked at her tour information to discover that she will be speaking in San Jose at the Mexican Heritage Plaza tonight. I ordered my tickets from the Commonwealth Club yesterday and look forward to hearing Reyna read and having her sign my book.
