Greedy Bastards, Audiobooks, and Stuff
Drawing the line

More from the Greedy Bastards. The record companies continue with their relentless suing. This time they're suing XM Radio. I haven't bought a single cd this year because I'm so sick of all their crap. I did file my claim against Sony when I inadvertently bought one of their 'content protected' cds last year.

Advocating that today's CDs are ‘nothing more than noise with a beat’: What Happened to Dynamic Range.

I've been using news aggregators on a daily basis to view the news from websites I like, but I am not liking the ads that are appearing more and more via RSS. If people choose to use ads on their websites, that's their decision, but I don't want to have to view them here too. I'm thinking that if I delete those offend blogs from my reading list, will I have anything left to read?

The Rock N' Roll Librarian asks Is listening to an audiobook the same as reading? I'd have to vote a definite no. I'm on my second audiobook. This one is Stephen King's “Hearts in Atlantis.” It's being read by William Hurt who is a fantastic reader. I had previously listened to Anne Rivers Siddons' “Nora, Nora” read by Cristine McMurdo-Wallis who was also a great reader. When I returned that cd to the library, I picked up another Anne Rivers Siddons audiobook, but the reader was awful. So who's doing the reading makes all the difference when listening to an audiobook.

Joe Clark gives a blistering review of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. Dang, and I was hoping for a little clarity.
