When It Rains…
Drawing the line

I've been out in the wilds of Oklahoma helping Mama to recover from her mastectomy. It was colder than I was used to (ten degrees), and we were snowed in for three days. It was an oddly relaxing time and I'm thankful for the time I got to spend with her even under those circumstances.

I did get to finish my second afghan and was pleased to leave it with Mama. Am taking a mini-break before starting on RayRay's afghan.

The day after I returned, my husband and I separated. It's a sad thing, but necessary for reasons I don't want to go into here. It had been a tough year for us, and I was hopeful. We hope to be able to reconcile, but for now we have to have space to work on ‘stuff.’

It's been over thirty years since I have lived by myself. It's better this time around. I learned a lot about living alone the week I was with Mama. I didn't think I'd have to apply it so soon to my own life.

In the meantime, I begin coding a new website on Saturday. Life goes on.
