Ten Things I Have Observed While Watching Grass Grow

Snails move faster than you'd think.
In Northern California, grass will die off (except for crabgrass) if you don't water it every day.
If you don't clean out the rain gutters, weeds will grow there too.
If you apply just the right amount of water pressure, the water sprinkler will not only water the back yard, but part of the front too. It will also keep the pesky boys from peeking through the holes in the fence.
You can't discourage snails from getting into your potted plants by putting the legs of the table in trays of water.
Coffee grounds will not keep cats from using your flower bed as their personal litter box.
You can create an outdoor nursery of baby spider plants with a glass pan and cake rack. Just set the babies roots down on the rack and fill the pan with water.
Wasps like playing in water too.
If you water between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m., it will cool the evening air around your house.
Keep the dog poo picked up and you can go barefoot any time.
