Surf, Tunes, and the Fourth of July
Drawing the line

I know this is hard to believe, but I've never been one to do the typical Fourth of July thing. Until this year…

Maybe it's the last side effects of the Prednisone I just finished taking for my foot, or the combined facts that I can now drive Rhonda, put my foot into a shoe, do my own laundry, make my bed, walk out the door. The groceries are bought, the bills are paid, the house is clean. I've made the lemonade, baked the cupcakes, bought the sparklers. The grill is ready on the patio. The Ketel One is chilling in the freezer. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

I'm feeling better than good. Blessed. I wish to partake in this mass celebration.

Thanks to the joy that is iTunes, I have a whole new collection of Tarantino-esque surf music. Surf music needs a beach background to really bring it all together, and so we went over the hill first thing in the morning yesterday.

Below is a panorama overlooking a slightly foggy beach along Highway 1 before getting to Half Moon Bay. It's my first experiment with my camera using PhotoStitch. The best thing about it is that it keeps the lighting consistent in all the photos. Will have to explore more of PhotoStitch's features.
