Cave paintings are expressions of the
culture of historic people. They
document the history of their people
and time period. Cave paintings are
like very early hieroglyphics, but
of a different culture.
Cave paintings began about 35,000 years
ago by prehistoric man. They used bone
for brushes, animal hair for tips, and
juices for paint.
Each one tells a story. A lot of cave
paintings were found in Lascaux, Southern
France. These paintings show pain, like
the loss of a finger, or happiness, like a
new child. Cave paintings are also found
in Australia, Europe, and the western
United States.
Cave paintings help people of today's
world understand and study what it was
like to live in prehistoric times.

Personal homepages began about five
years years ago by early WebHeads. They
used text web browsers at first, and
then graphical web browsers, like Mosaic
and then Netscape.
Each one tells a story. A lot of personal
homepages are found at fem mass.
These personal homepages show pain, like
the death of a husband; or happiness, like the
birth of a child. Personal homepages are also
found in SassyFemme's Personal Pages,
Webgrrls: Women On The Web,
and Fabulous Net Women.
Personal homepages help people of today's
world understand and study what it is
like to live in today's times.
