BLOGGY RESEARCH

The inspiration continues with Fresh Styles and New Masters of Photoshop. Have spent all weekend developing a collage for a webpage to celebrate my upcoming six years on the Web. And a lively year this one has been. Unfortunately, it has me reliving the emotions of September 11th. Deep breath and on with posterity.

Hopping down Jessamyn's librarian research trail:

Cindy's A Closer Look at Weblogs. Despite her unfortunate opinion...

"...most Weblogs are too personal to be useful to anyone other than online voyeurs"

...I did mine several interesting links from her page which led to other interesting links.

From A List Apart: The Trouble with Em N En by Peter Sheerin. He says that the entire range from through Ÿ are invalid characters. Oh no!

Speaking of invalid characters: chicken little media. (Thanks, Dave.)

Avoiding a new cold war.

From The Onion: Hijackers surprised to find themselves in hell (Thanks, MetaFilter.) Which goes along with another Onion story, God angrily clarifies 'don't kill' rule.

(Christmas—and I say it quietly since it's not Halloween yet—is coming and here are some good ideas if you're feeling que craftsy this year: Containers to put things in. This link found at Not Martha where you can find her recipe for how to make lip balm.)

UNIVERSAL CHILD
A different kind of statue in Santa Clara by 'Benny' Bufano, San Francisco artist. Here's the really tall version so you can see just how different the Universal Child is.
