WHEN THE WAY COMES TO AN END

I can no longer afford to live on hope, and so the next step (looking for clerical work) awaits me. Before I take that step, I'm giving myself permission to mourn (aka whine, cry, despair, and rage) all this week. But at the end of the week, I have to pull myself back together, reload that positive outlook, cease all bitching, and become a Web Designer cleverly disguised as a clerical worker. It's not a pretty process, but Honey's very understanding, and I'll probably live.

Redesigned my Homepages TOC. Went from this colorful and graphic-intensive version, to this quieter, faster loading version.

Word burn out?

Revisited IBM's Ease of Use pages. Particularly like their Design section. Although it's geared primarily for commercial considerations, I think some personal sites could benefit from some of the articles: Web design guidelines, user-centered design, and maintenance.

A Sunday night without the Sopranos. It just felt wrong. Italy loves The Sopranos. That Little Steven (Silvio Dante) has been a busy guy. I feel the withdrawls setting in. Maybe they'll put the second season out on dvd to hold us over.

No Sopranos, no Voyager, no job...I'll just shut up now.

ONE MORE THING

Last little bits about Kaycee, and then it's over. (Remember, I didn't know about this until yesterday. Where have I been? Well, when my nose is buried in webpage redesigns, I just don't get outta the house much.) Halcyon will be hosting a show on Kaycee/Debbie/Love/Mistrust in the Feel The Love Lounge tomorrow at 5P (PST). For my own record, here's one woman's story of uncovering the Kaycee background. Okay, you live, you learn, you go on...

Mike Cassidy's From paying off to laying off. I've walked by that hot dog stand many times. More about Down in the Valley.

But not to worry, Stanford is having job fair on June 6th. Before you go, be sure to read Flatbush Escapee's Top 12 of Everything I Need to Know In Life I Learned from the Marx Brothers (the full list) so you can keep that ever-important sense of humor.
