FATAL

I arrived at work today and found out that there had been a fatal accident right in front of the bank (the back of the bank is the view from my office window). In the picture above, the fire department was having the truck towed that slammed into and under the backend of the semi parked in front of Dennys.

Needless to say, the close proximity to Death always makes me want to grab everyone I care about and make sure they know that I care about them.

I know about Life. I know about Death. I know about the transition between both when there is a terminal disease involved. But Sudden Death is hard for my mind to visualize. You're alive. You're dead. No last minute good-byes. No time to let go. The thought of I hope I'm wearing my good underwear is not even formed.

I drove a tad more carefully today.
