BEFORE THE STORM

Before the rain began, I went to my favorite pedestrian overpass that extends over 101 by Oregon Expressway in Palo Alto. It is soooo long. I always keep my fingers crossed that there is no earthquake as I walk across. Love the noise of the cars passing underneath, and with the oncoming storm the wind was incredible.

The storm did arrive soon afterwards. Honey had to pick up Sherah as her electricity was out in Santa Clara and she needed to finish drying her hair and clothes for work. Taking her home, we saw trees and large tree branches blown down all by Central and Lawrence Expressway.

Minor damage to Rhonda as the wind blew over my four-drawer file cabinet on her. What? You don't keep your file cabinet in your carport? With electricity out all around us, we huddled at home warm and cozy by Christmas tree light with candles, videos, Cheetos, and Holi Moli Stoli close by.
